January- Decide to Get Organized

It’s the end of January. If you made a New Year’s Resolution to make 2019 the year you get organized, and have not made any progress, you still have 11 months to go. It’s never too late.

The first thing to do is to decide. As I mentioned in a previous post, Tony Robbins says “to decide means to cut off any other possibilities.”

Here is an easy exercise to help you decide on your next step: Take a few minutes to sit and relax and ask yourself these questions:

  • Would I rather continue to live in a house that it cluttered, or would I feel happier and more peaceful living in a house that is Organized Enough?
  • Would I rather continue to feel overwhelmed when I walk into a room, or would I rather walk into any room of my house and feel great?
  • Would I rather feel I have to stand at the door, or meet someone outside who knocks on the door, or would I rather say, “Come on In.”

I am sure you will decide that you want to get “out of overwhelm,” and live in a much more peaceful, organized house. You can work on it this year, and know that you don’t have to be stuck in the same place next week, next month, or next year.

So, let’s make a plan. I am offering a free half hour planning session by phone or Face Time so that you can accomplish your organizing/decluttering goals.

Remember January is GO month – a time to get organized and be productive!
